OFSTED (Offices for Standards in Education)

Our nursery is regularly inspected by Ofsted, allowing them to spend 1 – 2 days checking all aspects of the care and education we offer.

We are given no warning of the visit, as Ofsted’s aim is to view the nursery under normal operating conditions.

We aim to provide the best possible care at our nursery not merely to be governed by the minimum as prescribed in The National Standards.  We were therefore delighted to receive the “good” mark in all areas. Here are some comments from our most recent Ofsted Inspection Report:

“Babies receive lots of cuddles and sensory experiences which promotes their development well.”

“Children play happily and chat or use early communication to interact with each other and are confident to approach staff.”

“Staff treat children with kindness, as a result they learn to treat others in the same way.”

“All children spend their time engaged in a wide range of interesting activities and experiences and have time to indulge in these and to extend or initiate their own play. Consequently, they develop confidence in their own abilities.”
