Outdoors
Children love to play outdoors, and we make full use of our state-of-the-art outdoor play area as much as possible and take part in free play or big group activities. Our outstanding and unrivalled outdoor facilities are designed to be used throughout the year and the massive range of equipment and activities means that there is always something new and different to do.
Whilst playing and having fun outside, our children are also learning about the world around them and developing their physical and social skills. Interacting with the outdoors has been proven to help children develop their motor and cognitive skills whilst having fun and so all age groups make full use of the outdoor area as much as possible.
The safe and secure facilities have equipment to suit everyone, whatever their mood. Our climbing equipment with slides, ropes and poles allow children to release some steam in a safe setting with staff present to offer encouragement and lend a hand. Our impressive range of cars, bikes and scooters means that budding Lewis Hamiltons can make full use of our race track!
All of our children are encouraged to explore the world around them, be it in our large multi-weather sandpit, our quiet and relaxed nature area or by helping to dig and grow plants in our garden.
Our outdoors is also designed to help develop our children's creativity. The art and craft space gives each child a place to paint you a masterpiece to bring home while the outdoor music area gives the budding musicians a place to make some noise.
OUR ALLOTMENT
Children love to dig, plant and grow things and this helps them to understand where our food comes from and to learn more about our world. Our allotment is a short five minute walk away and most days during the warmer months, groups of children will visit and help to plant and look after our vegetables. The produce grown is then used to create our tasty nursery meals!
