Learning
We provide equal opportunities for all children to feel valued and they learn respect for their own and others’ cultures and beliefs.
Our staff offer the children support and guidance as children progress with their "next steps", working in partnership with yourselves as the children’s primary carers.
We take into account each child’s individual learning style and interests to ensure that they have fun and are motivated to learn and discover.
We work with the Four Themes (see below) every day to ensure that the care and learning are enjoyable across all areas of learning and development.
Positive relationships – children learn to be strong and independent from loving, secure relationships with parents and/or a key person
Enabling environments – the environment supports and extends a child’s development and learning
Each child has a 'development' folder which contains their personal learning journeys with photos, observations, conversations and their art work.
As the children work towards the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) they grow and develop as a whole. The EYFS is split into the following 6 areas:-
-
Personal, social & emotional development
-
Communication, language & literacy
-
Problem solving, reasoning & numeracy
-
Knowledge & understanding of the world
-
Physical development
-
Creative development
